The sky was clear of clouds all night long, but there was some smoke from a
wild fire to the south of Kitt Peak, possibly in Mexico. The smoke was
visible along the southern horizon during evening twilight. During a brief
period around 0300 local time, a strong smell of smoke was noticed. Otherwise,
the observatory seemed to be in fresh air during most of the time.
The seeing varied from 1.3-2 arcsec.
