About four inches of snow fell at the observatory between sunset and midnight.
The temperature also dropped to about -3 C after the sky cleared at about
0300 local time. Fresh snow blowing off of nearby trees and the dome itself
prevented the dome from being opened. According to the weather forecasters,
this storm isn't over yet and more snow is a possibility for the coming
night.
