A major weather system to the south of Arizona finishes Campaign 75 with
no observations possible on the last night. The monster is moving
steadily northward into Arizona preceded by plenty of cloud cover and the rain should start before
sunrise. Over the next two days, this will be the major news story in
the area, as record rainfall is expected with the usual flash flooding
that accompanies such records. Campaign 75 is not the worst observing
campaign for this project; that distinction still belongs to the September 2012
(Campaign 42) effort, but with really only four partial nights out of a possible eight,
it was far from the best. Campaign 76 is scheduled next month on a hopefully
much dryer Mt. Bigelow, AZ at the Kuiper Telescope.
