An exceptionally warm night for mid October in the midst of an extremely
warm observing campaign. Light breezes, as well, made this a very comfortable
night of observing. As usual, observations had to be made through clouds during the first hour of the night. After that, the sky generally stayed clear,
although clouds threatened to overrun the mountain top on several occasions.
Flashes of lightning in California and Mexico were often seen after midnight.
The seeing was good throughout the night, being 1-1.5 arcsec. The timing
for this productive night couldn't have been better, as clouds finally
rolled in during morning twilight. Thunderstorms and rain are forecast for
the remainder of the Bok Telescope portion of this campaign.
