Another clear and very productive night at the Kuiper Telescope. However,
a major brush fire about 50 miles north of the observatory that started before
noon put an amazing amount of smoke into sky by sunset. Polarimetry will not
be affected, but extra effort was needed throughout the night to verify
photometric measurements. In addition, it may be difficult, if not impossible
to accurately calibrate the true color of flux spectra obtained on this
night. The seeing varied from 1-2.5 arcsec throughout this very warm night.
