Clear skies for the night as clouds from one of the most persistent
low-pressure systems in memory finally cleared off to the east and south
at sunset. The clouds,
however, were replaced by very thin smoke, presumably from the major
wildfires north of here, high in the atmosphere. It will be interesting to
see how valid tonight's photometry will be. A lot of valid spectropolarimetry
was obtained. Seeing was very good for most of the night (1-1.5 arcsec).
