A nasty afternoon and early evening of weather on Kitt Peak. Rain and dense
fog started in the middle of the afternoon. Several hours after sunset,
the rain turned to snow and things became icy. There was no significant
accumulation of snow on the summit, but the temperature quickly dropped
to 23 deg F. The dome was never opened.
