This was an excellent night. Some thin cirrus to the far south cleared off within an hour of the end of evening twilight and left photometric skies for the rest of the night. The seeing was good and stayed between 1 and 1.8 arcsec for the entire night.
The wind picked up as the night progressed in preparation for the first
winter-like storm of the season. A strong and rapidly moving cold front
from the northwest (the clouds seen in the northwest corner of tonight's
weather image) is expected to pass through southern Arizona tomorrow night. Hopefully,
the storm system will depart as rapidly as expected.
