A major thunderstorm complex to the south and southwest prevented observations until well after midnight. Then, the sky cleared off and the dome could finally be opened. Observations were started at just before 0300 local time. Three blazars were successfully observed before thickening clouds ended the night about an hour before morning twilight. A modest start to the Fermi Cycle 5 program, but at least a start!
Again, the weather forecast for the coming 2-3 nights continues to be pretty dire.
