Despite the more encouraging weather image for tonight as compared to the previous night's map, observations could not be made. The sky was overcast until midnight and then cleared considerably for reasonable periods during the last half of the night. Unfortunately, the clearer skies were accompanied by increasing humidity as the temperature dropped. The humidity was beyond the limit for opening the dome for nearly the entire night.
The Arizona weather forecasters are claiming that this is the wettest mass of air to ever be over the state in September. They also do not believe that this air mass will move over the next several days.
