The start of Campaign 36 was greeted with unexpected clear skies. Seeing varied between 1.5-2 arcsec with brief periods of worse seeing. A larger than 3rd quarter moon rose before midnight, but plenty of objects could be observed despite the bright sky.
The weather forecast has a series
of storms moving through Arizona throughout the coming week, so we will
see how much observing can be done during the short periods between
storm systems. Tonight was one of the breaks between weather systems.
Hopefully, some of the coming nights will be as good.
