Rapid cloud formation over the area during the afternoon hinted that the monsoon is not many days away. Fortunately, there was no lighting this afternoon. There were a few strikes just south in Mexico and in western New Mexico. During the night, a new fire, possibly lightning caused, was noticed on the ridge line of the range about 50 miles N-NE of Mt. Bigelow. The clouds had nearly completely dissipated by sunset and the night was clear, warm, and nearly no breeze. The seeing was better than on the previous night at around 2 arcsec for most of the first half of the night. The seeing improved to 1.5 arcsec after midnight and there was brief period when it approached 1 arcsec.
