The first storm in a series of storms approaches with rain in southern California and western Arizona and plenty of clouds around Kitt Peak. The night was not a total loss as a not-so-clear hole in the overcast allowed observations of 3 blazars over an 1.5-hour period early in the evening. The current forecast has things only getting much worse during the last two nights of this observing campaign.
