Current MMT, Bok, & Catalina Telescope Schedules

IMPORTANT NOTE

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the MMT, 90" Bok, & 61" Kuiper telescopes are subject to schedule changes on very short notice.

Please note that during 2020A&B, observations at the Bok and Kuiper telescopes can be interrupted on short notice if LIGO/Virgo detects a gravitational wave event. The same is true for the Steward Observatory allocation of nights at the MMT. Observers are asked to be alert for this possibility and to cooperate fully with the observing requests made by the relevant scientific collaborations should this opportunity arise.

2020A Schedules:

2020B: Schedules

The January 2021 schedule for the MMT will not be determined until late November 2020. Remember that there are additional scheduling constraints in place because of COVID-19.

To apply for TBS (To Be Scheduled) nights on the Steward Observatory 90", 61", and 60" telescopes, or UAO TBS nights on the MMT, email a request and brief (1 page or less) scientific justification to Paul Smith, Steward Observatory, University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ 85721 (psmith@as.arizona.edu) at least 21 days prior to the start of the TBS block of nights. Only observers who are currently certified to use the equipment requested will be considered for TBS time (i.e., identify the certified observer who will be at the telescope for the observations). To avoid confusion and the possibility of your request being lost or forgotten, please try to submit your request no earlier that 2 weeks before the deadline.

To apply for TBS nights on the VATT, contact Richard Boyle (rboyle@as.arizona.edu).
