8.2.3 Investigators

The next block of information collects information on the Principal Investigator for the proposed project.

When the requested information has been collected, it will be automatically formatted and typeset on the coverpage. If \PIcertified{} is set to true or yes, the name of the PI will be underlined on the cover page. If \PIstudent{} is set to true/yes, the name will be followed by an ${}^{\star}$. We welcome proposals led by graduate students and/or with significant student involvement, but we require that the student's advisor approves of and signs the proposal.

If there are any Co-Investigators, then the \begin{CoInvestigator} ...\end{CoInvestigator} block first needs to be uncommented (the % characters at the start of each line need to be removed. Fill out and Replicate this block for each additional Co-I as needed. The typeset list of Co-Is should run no longer than three lines on the proposal cover page. If necessary, list initials rather than first names and abbreviate the names of institutions.
