A layer of thin cirrus, with a lot of jet contrails embedded in it, marred the
sky for nearly the first half of the night. A first quarter moon did not
help matters, but observations were hardly slowed. After midnight, the sky
was mostly clear. The seeing was quite good all night long at 1.2-1.5 arcsec.
