Weather Report for June 25, 2016

Campaign 84 starts at the Kuiper Telescope, but not before the 2016 summer monsoon season begins. It actually rained three times during the afternoon and the threat of lightning delayed the installation of SPOL on the telescope for several hours since major electrical systems have to be disconnected in case of a lightning strike to the building.

The night was mostly cloudy, but almost 10 blazars could be observed through thinner patches of clouds and during brief periods when parts of the sky cleared. The seeing was 1.2-1.6 arcsec and a bright moon rose well before midnight to make observing conditions even more challenging.
