Weather Report for August 30, 2016

Campaign 86 marks the start of the ninth year of Steward Observatory support for the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope. The Campaign starts off with three nights at the Bok Telescope followed by another six nights at the Kuiper Telescope. The first night of observations for Cycle 9 of the mission was generally successful. The sky was clear until about 2300 local time when clouds formed all over the sky. This slowed operations down considerably for over an hour and a half. Then, the sky cleared rapidly just after 0030 and generally remained clear for the rest of the night. The seeing was typically around 2 arcsec, but ranged from 1.5 to nearly 3 arcsec throughout the night. Nearly 20 blazars were observed.
