Weather Report for April 13, 2015

Observing campaign 71 starts the final of a trio of campaigns scheduled at the Kuiper Telescope on Mt. Bigelow, AZ. The entire day was overcast, with some cloud bottoms nearly 1000 ft. below the mountain summit. However, shortly after sunset only thick cirrus remained and a few observations of bright blazars could be obtained through the remaining clouds and in seeing of 3-7 arcsec. After midnight, the sky was generally clear and the seeing improved to 2.5-3.5 arcsec. Not great, but a definite improvement over the early portion of the night. In total, more than a dozen blazars were observed, giving this campaign a reasonably good start.
