Weather Report for June 24, 2014

A wonderful night: clear, warm, light breezes, and many observations made. Mt. Bigelow is the place to be if you want to beat the excessive heat in Tucson. The seeing was 1-1.5 arcsec for most of the night, but blew up at times to over 3 arcsec during the last hour of the night.

The summer monsoon has set up just to the southeast of Arizona, as can be seen in the satellite image. The weather forecast has this situation remaining as it is for another week, but southern Arizona is very close to some serious moisture and less optimal observing.
