Weather Report for July 4, 2013

Happy Independence Day! The weather fireworks missed Kitt Peak tonight, so over a dozen blazars could be observed. Operations started about an hour and a half late to wait for thick monsoon debris clouds to move off/dissipate. Seeing was around 1.5 arcsec or better at the start of the night, but little photometry could be done before midnight owing to lingering cirrus. The sky was quite clear from midnight to nearly 0300, but the seeing degraded to 1.5-2.5 arcsec. Then, during the last 1.5 hours of the night, clouds moved back in and occasionally slowed progress. The seeing also worsened to 3-4 arcsec.
