Weather Report for July 2, 2011

The shards of the monsoon storms of two nights ago were unexpectedly pushed back west into southeast Arizona, fouling the sky. Photometry was difficult at many points during the night, though most objects were successfully observed for polarization. Observations came to complete halt for a total of about 2 hours as thicker clouds moved/formed over the mountain. The seeing varied anywhere from 1.4 to 2.5 arcsec. This concludes campaign 29. Campaign 30 is slated for the Bok Telescope on Kitt Peak during the last week of July - the heart of the monsoon season. Well, we'll give it a try.
