Weather Report for April 5, 2010

A clear, but windy night to start Fermi/Steward observing campaign 16. A major weather system passing through northern Arizona is expected to keep the southern part of the state windy for the next day or so. Seeing was anywhere from 1-2+ arcsec. Some of the larger seeing estimates were caused by the wind shaking the telescope when pointed to southern and western targets.

Note: a 7.2-magnitude earthquake in northern Baja was felt at the Bok Telescope for a few seconds during the late afternoon.
