Weather Report for September 21, 2009

Clouds to the west of Kitt Peak at the start of the night prevented observations of a few western targets before they set. The sky cleared by 22:00 local time and the unsettled seeing at the start improved to 1.0-1.4 throughtout the rest of the night. SPOL heads to the MMT for another science program after observations end tonight. There is hope that our coverage of the great 2009 gamma-ray flare of 3C 454.3 will continue from Mt. Hopkins, AZ for 3 more nights starting Tuesday night.
