Weather Report for October 19, 2009

A very lucky night to start Steward/Fermi Campaign 10. A huge cluster of thunderstorms developed south of Kitt Peak in the extreme north of Mexico at sunset. These storms gave a spectacular lightning show during the first 4-5 hours of the night. The sky was mostly clear at Kitt Peak for the night, but there were periods when it wasn't photometric. The wind picked up during the night, but nothing too serious. Seeing was generally good 1.0-1.5 arcsec. Overall, a very good start for this campaign.
