Telescope Status Logging (5/20/05) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ On a Linux machine (e.g., "stjukshon") On the Linux machine 1) Insert task $telescope = "$foreign" before the 'keep' in your loginuser.cl 2) Copy "telstat.cl" to the directory in which you will write images telstat.cl can be found at http://chinadoll.as.arizona.edu/~schmidt/spol/telstat.cl and or at chinadoll!d0/schmidt/scripts/telstat.cl or at chinadoll!d0/schmidt/polar/spol/telstat.cl or in \urf386 on data-taking computer or on "ccdloral" floppy disk 3) Define task as per: task telstat = telstat.cl 4) Start up telescope status logging telstat & On the data-taking PC: 5) Turn off prompting for airmasses: AIRMASSPROMPT OFF 6) Test operation GET-AIRMASS ------------------------------------------------------------------------ If using a Sun (e.g., "bok") 1) Turn on VXWORKS box as per Steward CCD operation On bok: 2) Copy "telstat.cl" to a directory telstat.cl can be found at chinadoll!d0/schmidt/scripts/telstat.cl or in \urf386 on data-taking computer or on "ccdloral" floppy disk 3) Define task as per: task telstat = telstat.cl 4) Load package ccdacq (This loads the task "telescope") ccdacq 5) Start up telescope status logging telstat & On the data-taking PC: 6) Turn off prompting for airmasses: AIRMASSPROMPT OFF 7) Test operation GET-AIRMASS
